Burrito Battle

Why a Burrito Battle?

Energizer Park has turned “stadium food” into a world tour. For this episode I lined up three burrito-style contenders with zero traditional Mexican profiles: Balkan, Middle-Eastern, and Korean flavors. Same format, different passports. I ordered each with chicken to keep the playing field level, then set up shop on the bridge over the Southeast corner so I could watch the match and prepare the plates for my tasting crew.

The Contenders

  • Medina’s — Original Palestine Wrap — $17.99

  • Seoul Taco — Chicken Burrito — $17.99

  • Balkan Treatbox — Chicken Kebab Wrap — $18.99

All three offer mobile ordering. I used it for each, walked up, grabbed the goods, and hustled back to the bridge like I was chasing a through ball.

Meet the Taste Testers

We ran this with four people: two adults and two teenagers. Two of the four had never tried any of these exact options. The teens are a little picky, especially when toppings sound unfamiliar or hard to pronounce. My rule for the night was simple: take one honest bite exactly as the chef intended. If you still want to pull anything off after that, no problem. Spoiler alert: nothing was removed. Plates were clean in minutes.

I cut each wrap into four pieces. Keeping the Balkan kebab and Medina’s wrap neatly quartered took patience and a few extra napkins. The Seoul burrito held shape the best, thanks to tightly packed, sticky rice.

Bite-by-Bite

Seoul Taco Chicken Burrito
This is the most “engineered” build of the three. The rice keeps everything in place, so every slice had chicken, rice, and fixings in a fair ratio. Texture is soft and cohesive, with a light sticky bite that makes it easy to share. One tester thought the heat ticked up a notch, but still demolished their portion. Flavor pops come from the sweet-savory Korean notes. It is balanced and friendly. If you fear chaos in a crowded concourse, this one is your neat freak.

Balkan Treatbox Chicken Kebab Wrap
Easily the messiest, and I say that with love. There is no rice to act as ballast. Sauces and fresh toppings roam free, which lets the char on the chicken and the bright, herby, tangy hits punch through. It eats like street food should with big flavor, big personality, a little wild. You may lose a topping here and there, but every bite tastes alive. If you crave a flavor explosion, this is your ticket.

Medina’s Original Palestine Wrap
This one sits right in the middle in terms of build and sauciness. More cooperative than the Balkan wrap, less tight than Seoul. The spicing is warm and welcoming. It lets the chicken lead, with sauces and pickled notes stepping in like smart midfielders. The teens went in nervous because of all of the ingredients, came out nodding, and reached back for seconds before I could finish my notes.

Texture, Heat, and Shareability

  • Best build for sharing: Seoul Taco. The slices felt even. No one got a sad end piece.

  • Biggest flavor pop: Balkan Treatbox. Sauces and char say hello first.

  • Gateway wrap for cautious eaters: Medina’s. Comforting, flavorful, friendly.

  • Heat check: Mild to medium across the board. Only one person called Seoul “a little spicy,” then reached for more anyway. Medina’s does offer a spicy upgrade for $1.50, but it didn’t add much in my experience on the beef wrap.

Where to Find Them

All three operate dedicated stands inside the stadium on the east side of the stadium. Balkan Treatbox and Medina’s are between 103 and 106, and Seoul is right above those in 208. If you are planning a pre-kickoff grab, mobile order and pick up on your loop around the main concourse.

The Verdict

Heading in, I would have bet on Seoul Taco to take it. That bulgogi burrito is amazing. But tonight the flavors of Europe took control. When the crumbs settled, we had a unanimous winner: the Chicken Kebab Wrap from Balkan Treatbox. Every tester picked it, and every vote came with the same reason; the flavor. Still, it was closer than the word “unanimous” suggests. Seoul’s even build and easy sharing kept it neck-and-neck, and Medina’s surprised the picky eaters by winning them over with warm spices and a balanced bite.

Game Day Tips

  • Splitting for four? Ask for extra trays and napkins. Quartering wraps is an art, not a science.

  • Order chicken for parity. It keeps comparisons fair when you are sampling across stands.

  • Mobile order your loop. Place orders, do a single lap, pick everything up, then camp in a good viewing spot.

  • Sticky rice is your friend. If you are handing pieces to kids, start with Seoul.

Budget and Shareability Notes

All three sit in the same price band. For parents, one burrito plus a side can stretch to two kids if you add a snack later. For couples, two wraps and a shared side is more than enough. If your crew wants the full tour, split all three and draft your own rankings. If you are looking for a side to share, check out the fries from Chicken Scratch or brisket mac and cheese from FarmTruk.

The Bigger Win

The real winners are the fans who get to eat like this at a match. In a few steps you can bounce from the Balkans to the Middle East to Korea. Wander a little more and you can find Filipino barbecue, fried chicken, big burgers, classic barbecue, and empanadas that taste like a quick trip to the Caribbean. Next time you plan a game day, do not forget the tastiest part of the experience. The food is worth the ticket.

Final Whistle and What’s Next

Tonight’s match ended level, and the burrito battle ended with Balkan Treatbox on top. Weeks after the battle, my testers have already asked to try these again. If there is a wrap or roll at the stadium you think could dethrone our champ, drop it in the comments and I will add it to the next face-off.
